Miss that place. Great sushi for excellent prices. I had lunch here for one month in 2016. Hope that they open still when I am going back to Vancouver
Reasonable prices, tasty sushi, terrible Matcha latte. I only managed to take a couple sips, I left the rest. it didn't taste like Matcha, it tasted stale and too sweet.
Terrible sushi. They were really good before and I'd come here alot, It's a shame. Ohwell. Theres plenty more sushi joints.
Staffs are friendly, price is reasonable and the food is awesome! They even created “Brazilian Japanese food” like Brazilian Combo and Hot Philadelphia! Its amazing!!!
Food is good and cheap but the staff were so rude I don't ever wan to go back. Laughed at questions I had about any of the food and continued making jokes at my expense whilst I was waiting for my food. Lunchtime Thursday 10th December.
I enjoyed the service here, very friendly. There's plenty of options to choose, from combos to huge platters. Portions are pretty good for what they're selling. Good place to go if you're in the area. Would go back to try other things if I'm nearby again.
Don't know why this place has a bad review, must be a bunch of Vancouver sushi snobs snubbing it.. it's fast, fresh, reasonably priced and delicious sushi. I'd come back any day!
Wish I could leave a no star review. The servers here are rude and just not helpful at all. All they want is money money money. They don't care about the customers, and force you to pay 6$ to just stay in their teeny eating area where you pretty much have no room. And if you are ordering take out they try to make you pay 80% in tips. And if you don't they get made and curse at you in their language. The sushi itself is ok but definitely not worth the trouble in the end.
Good, inexpensive sushi, in the downtown core.
Great food. Very welcoming. Good portions.
Very cheap happy meal hours 3-6pm
I use to go there regularly because they had good quality food, cheep prices, and it was close to our school but the server’s costumer service was poor. She always look tired and not happy of working there or seeing us. No smile, no greeting and no eye contact! Main thing that makes me so mad was :They had special veggie roll offer for 8 dollars. Me and my boyfriend went there to buy one special roll and share together but she literally said we can not stay because we didn’t spend 7 dollars per person and gave our food in to go container without asking us . They had lots of empty seats there! At least they can try to be nice 😑 They lost one of their regular guests
Good price, but tasteless food and average service.
Avoid this restaurant! My experience at this place was very unsatisfactory. The female cashier needs a lesson on customer service as her uncourteous behavior is without question very low brow. The staff were speaking to each other in Cantonese. The many flies hovering above my head were obviously having a party. They probably dropped a couple of unsavoury bomb shells on my and other peoples' order including the sit-in diners'. I also witnessed cross contamination with their food preparation as they touched many different surfaces with their hands all while preparing food. I ordered sushi from my Ritual APP but was very disappointed at their blase attitude toward customers using this APP to order from their food establishment. Had it not been for the APP, I would have never discovered nor ordered from this place. I was so disappointed with my experience here that I completely lost my appetite for what I ordered and could not stomach eating it. However, the office dog loved it.
Delicious and fast!
Quick, simple take-out sushi available for the lunchtime rush. Reasonably priced combos, and a good variety. The restaurant space is tiny, so if you eat in you'll be cramped. Some of the reviews mention rude staff, and while I've always had good service, I have heard them get into arguments with other customers about small tips.
Super cheap and super good ! Not very big if you plan on going during busy hours
Sushi is ok. But service was horrible and on top of that waitress forced me to leave a tip. Never coming here again. And would not recommend to anyone.
Definitely a bad first experience.Sushi didnt taste fresh. They dont believe in spoons when we asked for one with our miso soup.Service was bad no one checked on our table . They have a sign asking to tip the server and the cookif youlikethe serviceI THEN went to pay the lady then said oh tips not included i then said i didnt like the service so i didnt tip.i she then.talked in therelanguGe to her other staff.i just find.that to be rude when demanding fora tipi can understand if youwere with aparty but dont demand itthe server
It's small and the tables are very close together.A girl at the table next to me spilt her miso soup and I was sitting close enough that it got on the side of my pants.Service is friendly and quick.
This is one of my favorite sushi places downtown. Super fresh and very affordable. The bubbles in the bubble tea are the best I've had in Vancouver. This place also has personality with the unique graffiti on the walls. Also, if you're looking to pick up lunch, they have sushi rolls ready made fresh for on-the-go. I want to try their matcha bubble tea, but the last couple times I went to order it, they were out of matcha. Apparently it's very popular!
Food and price was good
I presonally think taste is ok, but I hate their customer service I would prefer other places with much more customer service.
Great little mom and pop shop! The prices were great and the sushi was even better!
The miso soup was a very small portion and quite salty. The california roll and dynamite roll both tasted okay and were a large portion. The price is obviously pretty cheap, so I assume the ingredients are not fresh. The rolls were pretty bland. The worst part is all of the rules they have regarding mandatory minimum order totals and tipping. I wouldn't come back or recommend this place.
Delicious rolls...but It's too bad that they served semi-circle takoyaki:(
Great service and sushi. Great price as well but I'm comparing to the cost in my hometown in America.
Delicious sushi, good prices, café-like atmosphere.
Reasonable price and quality, but it has small space and they are not always kind.
They are so rude......you guys need to change the customer service.
Fantastic prices given the amount of sushi given, nice selection and it was fresh and fairly fast. Place is a little small thoughI've revised my original rating based on the incredibly aggressive tiping that I encountered recently having gone back for a meal recently, definitely a new experience and reeks of desperate attitude, definitely not recommending this to anyone, there is so many sushi restaurants in the area that they need to be more competitive
This is the place for cheap and quick sushi. It isn't the best sushi, but considering the price for downtown sushi, it isn't too bad. I liked how the wakame had some grated radish with it. The chopped scallop roll was ok, but there was a bit too much rice on the outside. The negitoro and toro weren't the fattiest pieces of tuna. My sister enjoyed her vegetable roll and yam tempura roll. Service was good and food came out fast. Our meal came out to be about $10 a person, so definitely reasonable.
Says on their website that they are open on a Sunday at 8pm. Drive down and its 6.15pm and closed! Thank you for wasting our time. They can also be rude and demand a tip even on takeouts! Cheap Sushi when open.
Probably the best sushi in downtown for the price.
Really great and reasonably prices sushi, also has a good selection of vegetarian sushi. When you go to the shop there’s a great deal of 22 pieces for 6.99. Nice to sit in, people have written all over the walls with positive reviews, which is nice to see. The staff are friendly and service is quick. I have been here a few times and will keep coming back
Best value sushi in the downtown area by a mile. Would have been a solid four stars but today was the second time in recent memory where I've shown up to the restaurant well within their open hours and it's closed with no sign on the door or anything to inform people about what's going on.
One of my favourite sushi spots in the city, staff are always friendly, they have great prices and the quality is excellent!
Cheap food and decent service.
I really want to like this place because the atmosphere is pretty cool. I have been two times and was disappointed in the food both times. The quality is just not very high (for example the chicken in the chicken teriyaki is like a frozen breaded chicken patty or something you'd buy at Walmart - not even recognizable as chicken) and the flavours are just quite weird. I love sushi, but their rolls are like non sushi lovers sushi. Weird mayonnaise flavors. The homey roll, their specialty, has this kind of gross mango sauce on it, and the Philadelphia roll has cream cheese that tastes like mayonnaise or something. Anyway kind of disappointing but the prices are okay (low quality but still cheap anything downtown is hard to come by). Oh also this is definitely NOT A PLACE FOR GROUPS. It's tiny and I think getting even 4 people together would be tricky.
The best affordable sushi.
Discovered this place not that long ago. Really love the sushi here, and the prices are great! The place itself is really small, but perfect for lunch. The walls in the restaurant are covered in messages from happy customers. Its fun to read all the nice things people have said while you eat. Ask for a pen and sign it yourself!
Rude staff. The girl at the register kept interrupting me while I was ordering. The order would be made much faster if she actually let me finish speaking. AND STILL the order was still wrong. Just horrible service. Food is mediorce at best.
Small, cheap and great food. I go here once or twice a week. Great service and we'll made, fresh sushi! One of my favorite spots.
They used to be better. Prices are decent but they won't let you sit down if you order anything under $6 and depending on who works on the day after 3pm they will give you the happy hour price - or the full price - for the same item. Not really focused on friendliness or customer experience.
Guess who just lost their all-time customer? This restaurant. I don’t try to fall for the cheap prices, I also do care about the attitude of one of the waitresses who needs to learn how to treat a customer with respect! This one time instead of giving back my change, she put it inside the tip jar!😑
Came here for lunch today with a friend. Small funky little sushi restaurant. Graffiti all over the walls of people who have dined there. The menu had some very nice options including vegetarian. We ordered 2 sushi rolls, vegetarian spring rolls and the agedashi tofu. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The service was fast and friendly. The price points were very affordable here. Great little place to stop in for a quick bite with tasty options and very affordable prices!
Excellent service, very low prices. Small, quaint restaurant that can be very busy at times. Highly recommend.l'd give them 5 🌟. Must try and give feedback.
Been twice now for take out. Like the sushi rolls and I will return for sure.
The server here is very rude. When I say something she just ignores it. Also, she didn't give me an exchange properly twice. All they want is just money. I really want to give them no star.
one of the best crispy spicy tuna rolls in vancouver for less than $5! the other rolls and appies are delicious as well. the service was great, not sure what people are expecting, especially for the price of the place
